What does dance look like outside of High School?

What does majoring in dance, a performing art entail?

Is dance a career you want to pursue?

Amanda Mishael is excited to share her personal experiences as a Dance Professional.

The Miami Experiment, a Dance Intensive is just that, a place where dancers will train and be exposed to a young professional’s experience and gathered knowledge. She has a long list of educators, mentors and choreographers that give her a versatile outlook on performing and creating dance.

There are many avenues of the dance world that she was not exposed to until she got to college. This will be a time to share the fusion of different techniques and choreographic skills such as Graham, Horton, Bartenieff Fundamentals, Laban Movement Analysis, Ballet, West African and Brazilian flavors.

Amanda will encourage you to confidently speak through movement and give you a glance at what dance has to offer as you consider dance for college and/or a career.

The Miami Experiment a Dance Intensive is a modern based intensive with splashes of strength and conditioning and a heavy choreographic and performative experience. The intensive focuses on finding your artistic voice through choreography while using the technical vocabulary that you already know and will learn.

You will be challenged, you will be exposed to new concepts, you will work differently, and you will grow as an individual and a dancer. This will be a place of teamwork, trial and error, problem solving, building trust, sharing ideas, gaining strength, experimenting with movement, playing with concepts, and MAKING A DANCE!!

AMANDA MISHAEL is an alumni of both Miami Dade College and the University of Florida (GO GATORS!!). After graduating from UF with her Bachelors in Fine Arts in Dance Performance she was invited to dance with Augusto Soledade Brazzdance back in her hometown, Miami, Florida.
